Joshua Michael Grau is the Vice President of Atlanta Institute of Music and Media. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Arts in Teaching from Florida Atlantic University (FAU), and a Doctorate in Music Education from the University of Georgia (UGA).
He has held teaching positions at FAU, Brevard Music Center, and Barton College in North Carolina, and spearheaded Florida’s first program in Music Technology and Sound Engineering for the high school at Miami Lakes Educational Center, where he became the Academy Leader of Communication and Entertainment Technology.
In 2007, Joshua accepted the position as Director of Education for SAE Institute of Technology-Atlanta, and was later appointed National Academic Coordinator for SAE Institute of Technology-USA overseeing academics and curriculum development for 7 U.S. campuses.
In 2015, Joshua joined AIMM as VP and is responsible for campus management, regulatory compliance, program development, and human resources. He also participates in guitar, keyboard, and studio and live performance instruction.
As a guitarist, Joshua Michael Grau studied formally with Dr. Ken Keaton, Dr. Rene Gonzalez, Gene Bertoncini, and performed in master classes hosted by Christopher Parkening, Pepe Romero, Sharon Isbin and Juan Mercadal.
In the recording studio, Joshua has extensive experience as a session player and provided guitar tracks for records released by RCA, Jive Records, Charisma Records, and Capitol Records (discography below).
